My story

My path towards a passionate yoga trainer

I spent my early childhood in the countryside of Southern Austria. Most of the time, I was outside in the woods or on the ski slopes, enjoying the full freedom of nature. This wonderful place surrounded by mountains and beautiful lakes remains my precious jewel and I always go back to relax and recharge.

My Yoga path began during my years at the University of Vienna. As I had already worked as part-time ski instructor and fitness trainer for several years already, I saw Yoga mainly as a tool to improve my fitness and physical well-being. During that time I was far from grasping the full power of Yoga that goes beyond the physical aspects of our practice.

As I moved on in life, my work, brought me to Mexico where I stayed for a couple of years. It was a breathtaking experience and I was immediately captured by the rich and friendly Mexican culture. Following the guidance of the Yoga book "The Ivengar Way", I enhanced my practice and began to understand and feel the healing power of the different asanas, meditation and pranayama.

Back in Vienna and especially when I was expecting my little daughter, my "trust" in Yoga further evolved. I enrolled in a  pre-natal Yoga course that I combined with Qi-Gong practice, acupuncture therapy and dancing. These activities boosted my energy and allowed me to remain at ease and positive throughout my entire pregnancy.

But, life also brings challenges as our expectations, hopes and wishes are not always met. Among others, I faced numerous obstacles that many women encounter when climbing the career ladder. Trying to fully perform at home and at work, I fell into the “multi-tasking trap” and lost my creativity, concentration and sense of ease. At that point, Yoga helped me to move on and I RESET!

I intensified my Yoga practice under the guidance of sublime trainers, and, with time, my focus at work improved and I regained balance and self-awareness. During that time I truly began to feel and see the full power of Yoga. My work for the United Nations in the environment and energy field brought me to over 50 countries and Yoga always traveled with me, stimulating openness, focus and serenity.

After I recognized the healing powers of Yoga, I enrolled in an inspiring and holistic Yoga teacher training and became a passionate Yoga trainer! Passing on my experience and lifting others are the main drivers of my teaching.

All donations and income of my YOGAP teaching go to charity projects that support others. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and hope to contribute to a more caring, aware and just world.

I am happily married and live in Vienna. My wonderful family fully supports my Yoga passion and is my daily YOGAP inspiration.

I am a certified Yoga teacher (RYS 200, Yoga Alliance) with additional training in Yoga Anatomy and Pranayama techniques.
